Doggy Doo

Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Doggy Doo (“we,” “us,” or “our”). They cover your use of the Doggy Doo app and doggydoo.app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

Who can use Doggy Doo

You must be at least 13 years old to use Doggy Doo. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need permission from a parent or guardian, and they agree to these Terms on your behalf. You agree to give accurate information when you sign up, keep your login secure, and take responsibility for activity on your account.

Not veterinary advice

Doggy Doo is a wellness and motivation tool. Your dog’s step counts are estimates based on your dog’s breed, size, age, and weight combined with your phone’s GPS and motion data. Health scores, walk scores, activity goals, streaks, and suggestions are general information. They are not medical or veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and every dog’s needs are different.

Talk to your veterinarian before starting a new exercise routine, especially for puppies, senior dogs, flat-faced breeds, or dogs with health conditions. Contact your vet whenever your dog shows signs of illness or injury, and never delay or skip veterinary care because of anything you see in the app.

Walk safely

You are responsible for your own safety and your dog’s safety on every walk or run. That includes watching for heat, hot pavement, traffic, and rough terrain, following leash laws and local rules, and cleaning up after your dog. Weather and paw-safety alerts come from third-party data and may be inaccurate or delayed, so always use your own judgment. Stay aware of your surroundings and don’t let the app distract you near traffic. Stop if your dog shows signs of overheating, exhaustion, or pain.

Tracking accuracy

GPS and motion data can be affected by signal strength, your device, battery settings, and other factors. Distances, routes, steps, streaks, and scores may sometimes be wrong or incomplete. We work to make them accurate, but we can’t guarantee it, and we aren’t responsible for lost or inaccurate activity data. Our Privacy Policy explains how we use location data.

Your content

You own the photos, walks, routes, captions, and other content you add to Doggy Doo (“Your Content”). You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, copy, and adapt Your Content only as needed to run and improve the Service. For example, we resize photos, create share cards and walk replays, and show public walks to other users. We won’t use Your Content in advertising outside the app without asking you first.

This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account. Copies may remain in backups for a limited time, and anything you already shared outside the app (such as a walk card posted to social media) is outside our control.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the right to share it. Public walks can show your route, so consider making walks private if they start or end at your home.

Community rules

Doggy Doo has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. When using the Service, you agree not to:

  • Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or violent, or that shows cruelty to animals.
  • Impersonate anyone or share someone else’s personal information.
  • Spam other users or advertise without our permission.
  • Fake or manipulate walks, steps, streaks, leaderboards, or challenges, for example by logging walks while driving or spoofing your location.
  • Scrape, copy, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service or its security.
  • Use the Service for anything unlawful.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules. To report content or a user, email support@doggydoo.app.

Leaderboards, streaks, and challenges

Leaderboards, streaks, badges, and challenges are for fun. We may change how they work, reset them, or adjust or remove entries that look inaccurate or break these Terms. They don’t come with prizes unless we publish separate official rules saying so.

Paid features

We may offer optional paid subscriptions or features. Purchases made through the Apple App Store are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple’s terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID account settings, and Apple handles refunds under its own policies. We’ll show the price and what’s included before you buy. If we change pricing, the change won’t affect a period you have already paid for.

Our service

We own the Service, including the app, its design, the Doggy Doo name and logos, and Big Red. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use under these Terms.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you. We may add, change, pause, or remove features at any time. Some features rely on third-party services, such as maps and weather data, which we don’t control.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app’s settings. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we need to protect other users or the Service. Sections that by their nature should continue after your account ends (such as Your Content licenses already used, disclaimers, limits on liability, and disputes) will continue.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we make no promises about your dog’s health outcomes.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Doggy Doo will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, or for injury to you or your dog arising from walks, physical activity, or reliance on information in the app. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as your local law permits.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold Doggy Doo harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you have a dispute with us, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. If we can’t, the dispute will be handled exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies.

Apple App Store

If you downloaded Doggy Doo from the Apple App Store, you also agree that:

  • These Terms are between you and Doggy Doo, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • Your license is limited to using the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as allowed by the Usage Rules in Apple’s Media Services Terms.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Doggy Doo, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
  • Doggy Doo, not Apple, is responsible for investigating and resolving any claim that the app infringes someone’s intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must follow any third-party terms that apply when using the app, such as your wireless carrier’s terms.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above, and we’ll let you know about significant changes in the app or by email. If you keep using the Service after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.

General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. If we don’t enforce a provision right away, we haven’t waived it. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
